Everyone who knows me (well) knows that I'm constantly looking for my next photographic opportunity, so when I visited my old stomping grounds back in March, I had made big plans for a bridal-style shoot. It was going to be incredibly minimalistic with an emphasis on the dress(es), florals, and landscape. After spending a "small" fortune on my own wedding, I've been infatuated with the idea that you can have amazing images without all the additional bells and whistles (and costs). The weather was going to cooperate, the dresses were going to fit, and we were going to have all afternoon to shoot in the best light...

The Richards | Tampa Family Session

When my good friend Lauren first announced she was pregnant with her baby, Colin - I was absolutely elated for her. I envisioned all of the magical "first time parent" moments... and, of course, all the magical photo opportunities! I was practically doing cartwheels just thinking about all the "Richards Family" sessions that would eventually take place... (Mental cartwheels, people. I have scoliosis.
