Yael & Vasili | Orlando Anniversary Session

I've become more and more introverted over the years, so making new friends effortlessly is definitely not been my strong suit. Luckily, I happened upon Yael almost 3 years ago when she took a teaching job at the Montessori school I currently work for. Our mutual passion for helping children with learning differences bonded us instantly, and I found her down-to-earth personality such a breath of fresh air whenever work became overwhelming. Since then, I've been fortunate to watch her pursue her dream of becoming an occupational therapist, marry her best friend, purchase their first place together... so when her and Vasili's one year anniversary rolled around, I harassed them into going somewhere new and allowing me to photograph their love. 

After weeks of discussing locations, outfits, hair & makeup, etc... plans were finalized, and we were on our way to Lake Wales! Bok Tower Gardens is this enchanting place right smack in the middle of Florida that literally looks nothing like Florida. Spanish moss, golden grass, rolling hills... it's sooooo beautiful. This was a big session for me, because prior to this, I was used to getting scans back and loving maaaaaaybe 50% of them. Not this time! For the most part, exposure and focus from these scans were on point. #howbowdah?! 

By the time we arrived, golden hour had already begun... so to make the most of our excursion, we opted to skip the lush greenery and frolic in the golden fields. #butfirstorangegroves #becausetheywereontheway
