Sweet Caroline.
That’s all I could think of that evening, when my friend Betty Jane’s daughter, Caroline, stripped out of her beautiful white dress only four minutes into our session. Betty Jane had cautioned that they never have their photos taken – that Caroline hadn’t napped, and she didn’t know how she’d behave – but I didn’t think anything of it.
When my good friend Lauren first announced she was pregnant with her baby, Colin - I was absolutely elated for her. I envisioned all of the magical "first time parent" moments... and, of course, all the magical photo opportunities! I was practically doing cartwheels just thinking about all the "Richards Family" sessions that would eventually take place... (Mental cartwheels, people. I have scoliosis. I CAN'T ACTUALLY DO CARTWHEELS.)
