Jess & John | Indiana Engagement Session

John and Jessica are such a lovely, laid-back couple… it was only fitting that their engagement session have the same relaxed (and elegant) vibe!

Originally, we weren’t sure that we could make an engagement session happen, as I was in between a big move and Jessica’s fiancé, John, was also getting ready to move cross country. That being said, somehow the stars aligned and we were able to connect for a gorgeous sunrise session at the exact location their wedding will be held: the beautiful backyard of a dear friend in Jessica’s hometown.

Jessica wore a beautiful, mid-length eyelet dress for most of the session while John sported a classic blue button-up/khaki combo. The sunrise offered the most beautiful light as we frolicked around the backyard and made our way to an adjacent golf course, where John and Jess were all smiles.

Although John is originally from the Washington, D.C. area, John and Jess became neighbors when they both landed in Indianapolis and… the rest is history. John later proposed to her among the thousands of tulips in the gardens of the Indianapolis Museum of Art.
